The Association since its establishment has set among its priorities the conservation and sustainable exploitation of environmental assets, natural and scenic area of Orvieto. An area straddling the three regions of Umbria, Lazio, Tuscany, which was also the birthplace of the ancient Etruscan civilization, characterized by significant and unusual amount of environmental significance that integrate closely with those of historical and archaeological and artistic architecture. The story that has come has left signs of extreme value that today provides a unique heritage to preserve and improve to prevent it from being erased by time and from the transformation of man.
The promotion and preservation of these real emergencies is now one of the areas in which to invest their resources and energies trying to promote their sustainable use and with it their preservation.
In this spirit, the Association is working to set up the Eco Landscape Orvieto, a reality that involves the municipalities in the district and local associations involved in the promotion and enhancement of the territory.
Landscape Day is an event now in its third edition, by which we seek to build on this research and excavation in the local culture, study and rediscovery of the natural sites or lived in the memory and history.
 

Landscape Day is an occasion to know the territory and the seasons Ecomuseo Paesaggio Orvietano, in a walk along the Sentiero delle Crete, between the municipalities of Allerona and Ficulle.
L 'itinerary focuses on clay, its natural conformation, its agrarian transformation, its industrial uses, craft and art. It will be a path through the terrain of gullies and through the fields, pastures and flocks, will be a way to know how the clay is always helpful to men and women of these parts to live, build and express their sensitivity and artistic ability.
The tour will travel only on foot.
The start is scheduled for 8:00, with meeting at the Multipurpose Center of Allerona Scalo, where is located the entry table of the Path of the Water and the clay, 'EPO (Ecomuseum Paesaggio Orvieto).
From there, a shuttle will take participants at the junction Armata (Pod. Monte Regole), along the path of Crete and along the route of the Via Traiana Nuova. From here you continue through the magnificent landscape characterized by major formations across the ravines and river valley Ritorto, visit the land where once practiced the extraction of clay. Finally we come to the top of the hill on which it is located Ficulle, along the ancient route of the Via Cassia through the local Santa Cristina.
 
Once in Ficulle, visit the workshops of master potters and the Rocca, which will exhibit the works in clay by Paola Biancalana, Ildiko Dornbach natural dyes, the textures manuals Essenza Donna.
Lunch, closing the day, will be held at the Museum of Peasant Culture, at the Ballroom of Ficulle.
Back with shuttle service provided for 16.00.
 
Useful information to participants:
Reservations and Cost: The reservation is compulsory. Cost participation, Walk + Lunch (or Lunch only): euro 15. Participants will also be offered, the place of departure, a hearty breakfast (coffee, croissants, sandwiches, water).
Travel time: about 4 hours.
Difficulty: Easy.
Suggested Clothing: Hiking boots, raincoat waterproof jacket (in case of rain), cap, sweatshirt or long sleeve shirt breathable.
Assistance along the route will be guaranteed by the Orvitano Civil Defense and by ambulance to Misericordia M. Gabbione.
Others: In case of heavy rain the walk will be canceled.
